This took place on Saturday 27th April at The Woodman Pub, Ashtead. It was attended by approximately 100 former Therfield School pupils who left in 1978 and 1979. They came from Canada, USA, Europe, Ireland, Scotland and from all over England. The event was organised by Leigh Higgs, Paula (Hudspith) Kelly, Rob Dilger and Karen Matthews over the last 6 months. It came about via contact made via the web site Friends Re-United.
Headteacher John
Wooding 1972-85 sent this message: "I send warmest greetings
to my former students. I am now enjoying retirement on the South Coast
and keeping active with some golf and bowls. I still recall our times
together at Therfield with pride and affection. Have a wonderful
evening. John Wooding"
As it was such a great success, further reunions will be planned.
