The Therfield School Trust Social Team

Our aims

• to assist the Trust in advancing the education of Therfield pupils by providing and assisting in providing facilities for education at the school, often not normally covered by the Local Education Authority
  
• foster more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school through social events involving the school, those associated with the school and the wider community
  
• engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils

History

• For many years the school was supported by a Registered Charity The Friends of Therfield School. This acted as a PTA and involved many parents and members of staff.

• In 2005 the Friends became the Social Team of the Therfield School Trust, which is itself a Registered Charity, and so the Friends ceased to have its own charitable status and its assets were handed to the Trust.
